Djembe Kan’s unique school/ early learning workshops are aimed to introduce all students from Pre-Primary through to high school age to the educational and fun aspects of Djembe drumming and West African Culture.

Djembe Kan instructors relate to students on the class’ level and ensure that students feel comfortable to explore their own curiosities about West African music. Djembe Kan builds a positive energy through communication with the students. Students feel empowered to contribute their skills through self-expression with a variety of percussive instruments such as djembe’s, dununs(big bassdrums) shakers and bells. Djembekan brings the relaxed, dynamic and spirited African learning environment full of energy into your school / learning centre with stories, songs, dance and laughter.

The duration of early learning / school sessions can last anywhere between 30 minutes to a week or more, this depends on the outcome identified by each school/ class or learning centre.
