Hello Mohamed,
A voice from the past here . . . your old student David, formerly of Sydney, now living near New York. I'm wondering if on your way to Guinée next month you might be passing via New York? (I think you did at least one time before...) If so, please let me know when and where you'll be . . . it would be good to meet.
If not . . . all the best, and I hope we meet again someday. The news: I'm still drumming, still performing now and then . . . in fact a few college shows coming up in a couple of weeks with "my" band (well, the band I'm in, haha), Sewa Folee.
I hope to hear from you.

Hello Great to see Bangouraké all over the web!! I needed some bio info on him and found your write up very useful!! We have known Bangouraké since he came to OZ in 1998 and we are proud to say he will be this years master Drum teacher at our annual African drum and Dance Camp Jan 6th-11th 2008. It is going to be an awesome camp with Lamine and Awa Sonko teaching dance from Senegal, and Valanga Khoza teaching singing from South Africa. Check it out. Love to see you there. What a great web site! Not nearly as good as the drumming itself of course. I'm glad I finally managed to have a look, Freddy- You're a real inspiration! Performing with Bangourake was one of my highlights for 2006! |
